Venice Stadium – Bosco Dello Sport
A Ring of Biodiversity
In the project, we modified the ground connection of the stadium by inserting a ‘green embankment’ and planting. This allowed us to considerably expand the ‘forest’ that initially consisted only of plantings between the car parks.
A green ring designed as a ring of biodiversity that echoes the biotopes that characterise the lagoon landscape.
A green embankment that guarantees three positive effects for the perception of the stadium:
Concealing the covered parking level, making the paths with ramps to the stands more functional, and minimising the impact of the roof on the landscape.
A project that is attentive to the context, seeking a balance between the natural environment and the world of sport, set in the 116 hectares on which the ‘sports forest’ will stand and capable of accommodating around 20000 spectators.
